Kindertransport Exhibit at The Center for Jewish History, New York City

NOVEMBER 26, 2018 to APRIL 26, 2019

Just three weeks after Kristallnacht, the first group of unaccompanied Jewish refugee children arrived in the United Kingdom. Leo Baeck Institute and Yeshiva University Museum launch an exhibition exploring this remarkable effort that saved some 10,000 children, many of whom never saw their parents again.

Memories of the Kindertransport -Jewish Museum London

NOVEMBER 8, 2018 to FEBRUARY 10, 2019

“Memories of the Kindertransport” is an exhibition and program of engagement commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Kindertransports.

The exhibition centers on the stories of six former Kindertransport refugees who continue to work with us today. It brings together their memories and reflections through new filmed testimony and objects from our museum collection to enable audiences of all ages and backgrounds to learn about how these personal stories are intertwined with global history.

The Kindertransport 80 Years On:
Critical Approaches to Kindertransport Research and Historiography

The 80th anniversary of the scheme that permitted over 10,000 unaccompanied, mostly Jewish, children to enter the UK in 1938-39 seems a fitting time to approach a new, critical assessment of the Kindertransport and its origins, rationales, enactment and outcomes.

Memorial Concert for the 80th Anniversary of the Kindertransport

NOVEMBER 22, 2018 7PM

The Wiener Library is delighted to announce details of a special memorial concert to mark the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht and the Kindertransport. The concert will take place in the beautiful sanctuary of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, London, on 22 November 2018, one day after the official anniversary of the Kindertransport debate in Parliament. A benefit for the Wiener Library.

80 Years On: Commemoration of the Kindertransport

NOVEMBER 15, 2018

At a central London venue, there will be a commemoration for those who arrived on the Kindertransport, their descendants, the foster families who took in children, faith communities and charities to recognise the heroic efforts of those who helped rescue 10,000 children on the eve of the Second World War.

Hosted by Kind Lord Alf Dubs and Barbara Winton,attendance by invitation only.

A Staged Reading Directed by Deborah Lavine, featuring Jane Kaczmarek and Kate Burton.

Presented by the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, CA.

The performance celebrates the 80th Anniversary of the Kindertransport and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
